What is GMAT?

Do every top b-schools require GMAT?

While many schools encourage students to take the GMAT exam, it’s not mandatory for all the schools. There are several schools you can choose were GMAT is not considered as a pre-requisite in the application process.

NO, it’s not correct many reputed schools give importance to other elements of the application that include good academic background, work experience, a good CV, sample essays, etc. for instance:

  • Imperial College London
  • IVET Business school
  • NUS Singapore
  • NYU Stern
  • Rotman School of Management etc.

Here are some MSc schools which don’t require GMAT/GRE score.

  1. NUS Business School (Singapore): MSc in management at NUS is a full-time program consisting of 40  modules over two semesters.GMAT/GRE score is not mandatory for NUS MSc in management program; it judges candidates based on other elements such as application essays, sound academic background, IELTS, etc.
  2. Schulich Business School: offers a Master of Management program to candidates with an excellent academic background, one-year work experience. A GMAT/GRE score is not required here.
  3. IVEY Business School: offers an Executive MBA program where one has to attend classes four consecutive days once every month and complete the course in 15 months, alongside their career. Although GMAT is not required, a well-detailed resume is mandatory for the application.
  4. Kellogg School of Management: Northwestern University, where no weightage has been given to the GMAT score, and the primary focus is usually on the credit scores.
  5. Monash University: offers Management Courses with a low score of 550 or even no GMAT, But it considers work experience for admission to its MBA program.
