ESSEC MIF Program & Curriculam

ONE-YEAR PROGRAM
The one-year program (90 ECTS credits) takes place either in France (Paris area) or in Singapore and can be pursuit by
holders of a Master’s degree or a 4-year Bachelor’s degree.

TWO-YEAR PROGRAM
Holders of a 3-year Bachelor’s degree or a Licence 3 en Économie/ Banque/ Finance/ Assurance/ Management/ Ingénierie/ Mathématiques will complete an additional first year (30 ECTS) which includes:
• A first term of 5 courses to be chosen among a very rich general track
• A 4-6 months internship
After its completion, students will join the one-year program.

The internship, with a duration of 4 to 6 months, can take place anywhere in the world and is designed to facilitate students’ professional integration. The two study trips to the major financial centers in the world represent unique moments in the program. Students travel to two of the major financial centers (London, and New York or Hong Kong), where they meet and exchange views with professionals in the most prestigious investment banks and consulting firms such as Ardian, Barclay’s Capital, Bank of America-Merrill Lynch, BNP-Paribas, CA CIB, Crédit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, Greenhill Partners, J.P. ESSEC Business School, in partnership with top leading banks such as Société Générale, organizes a Digital Workshop Competition to work on a series of challenges set by the banks. This innovative learning and professional experience allows students to be aware of the digital stakes within large investment banks, and prepares them to develop a whole set of skills. It is also a great opportunity to immerse on real life challenges, understand today and tomorrow’s digital world, and show their skills to potential employers. Organized in parallel over ESSEC two campuses, and with students from Master in Finance, Master in Data Sciences & Business Analytics,and MSc in Marketing Management & Digital; mixed teams on Cergy and Singapore campuses will compete on a Hackathon format.

ESSEC Scholarships

ESSEC Academic Excellence Scholarships
  • Description: To sustain the academic excellence of the Master in Finance programme, ESSEC Business School offers scholarships to the most outstanding candidates.
  • Eligibility: Open to all applicants and awarded on the basis of the overall quality of students application i.e. academic excellence demonstrated in the file, excellent GMAT score, etc.
  • Amount: Can cover up to 50% of total tuition fees.
  • Procedure: Scholarship decisions are made during the application procedure. There is no additional application to fill out or request to make. Selected students will be notified upon being offered a place on the programme.
Ardian Singapore Track Scholarship
  • Description: Since 2012, ESSEC has a special partnership with ARDIAN FOUNDATION which grants 5 to 6 fellowships for exceptional international candidates.
  • Eligibility: Open to all international applicants of the Singapore Track and awarded on the basis of the overall quality of their application i.e. academic excellence demonstrated in the file.
  • Amount: Can cover up to 30% of total tuition fees.
  • Procedure: Scholarship decisions are made during the application procedure. There is no additional application to fill out or request to make. Selected students will be notified upon being offered a place on the programme.
Diversity of geography and profiles
  • Description: Varied cultural perspectives and backgrounds enhance the education and experience of all our students as well as being a key factor in the excellence of our programmes. With this in mind, ESSEC seeks to create further diversity in its already diverse student body.
  • Eligibility: Be a citizen of a country in one of the following regions: Asia, Asia-Pacific, Africa, Europe (except France), North America and South America.
  • Amount: Up to 30% of total tuition fees.
  • Procedure: Scholarship decisions are made during the application procedure. They are awarded to applicants having demonstrated both academic excellence and a strong international background in their application file. Selected students will be notified upon being offered a place on the programme
Eiffel Scholarship
  • Description: The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs funds EIFFEL scholarship.
  • Eligibility: Reserved for non-French candidates, double nationality included, no older than 30 years old at the time the selection committee will meet (around mid-March).
  • Amount: A monthly allowance of €1,181 and covered costs of one international return journey and social security cover.
  • Procedure: ESSEC submits applications for EIFFEL scholarships on your behalf. Your application should be completed and submitted therefore in the first round of applications.

Loans

Bank Loans

As an ESSEC student, you can get a preferential rate bank loan, which covers full tuition and is repaid starting at the end of your first year of work. Loan applicants are required to have a guarantor living in France. According to the banks, the guarantor must earn enough to cover the monthly loan payments but also either be a French citizen, a close family member and/or both. Additional fees and expenses will be the responsibility of the student.

Prodigy Finance

International Students from 150 different nationalities admitted to the Master in Finance may now apply to Prodigy Finance loans. Contrary to the banks in France, Prodigy does not require a collateral or co-signer. These loans are granted on the student’s future earning potential and does not take into account credit history.  Students may apply online on the Prodigy website. There is no hidden fee or early repayment fee. Interest rates may vary depending on individual profiles. Funds are directly disbursed to the school in euro (€) so no exchange rates are borne by the student. Disbursement starts from September and loan application processing time may go up to a month and a half. The sooner you apply, the better. We advise you to read carefully the Prodigy website to check your eligibility before applying.
